Illegibilities is an ongoing series of large-scale folded paper
sculptures. The humble paper bag becomes a monumental object, as authoritative
and insistent as an ancient Chinese stele. And with amplification comes
distortion. Everyday images are expanded and distorted to form new patterns and
surfaces that are almost but not quite illegible.
